    1. Re: Samuel Pennington and Elizabeth Anderson
    2. Carmen, I've been following this Samuel Pennington dialog with interest. My husband's family is from a Samuel Pennington who is found in the 1840 Census in Lincoln County, TN with a boy under age 5 and a wife. He is found again in the 1850 census in Hardin County, TN enumerated 25 Sep 1840 in the 6th Civil District. I have a copy of this census information. Samuel Pennington - 38 - laborer - Tennessee (born 1812) Emily P - 36 - NC William A 12 - TN Charles S - 8 - TN Sarah C - 7 - TN Mary J - 5 - TN James T - 3 - TN Samuel 1/12 - TN Sarah - 65 - Virginia By 1860 census he is in Boone County, Arkansas. I don't have a copy of that census. Just a notation from another family member. But in this census shows he was born in 1795 in Alabama and his wife Emily was born in 1817 in North Carolina. But the children names match with the addition of two more children: NM or NA Pennington (female) born 1852 in Tennessee Rebecca F. Pennington born 1859 in Tennessee who we show married to Charlie Smith. I've posted queries but haven't had a nibble. My husband is down from William Andrew Pennington. Could he be the missing Samuel Pennington? Marie Jenkins Penington
