Rene'e, You are a person after my heart. I have always loved archeology and I would dig in our garden and bring in shards and rocks that looked like they had something done to them by someone's hand. I have one in my flower bed right now that has a hole all the way through it. Wouldn't it be great if I just knew where my 3rd great grandma Mary Pennington and Jesse Bowling had lived and I could dig? Bless their hearts, they probably didn't have too much to throw away. Isn't it strange how you can love and sympathize with those people you never really knew? Well, I have walked in VA in some of my ancestors footsteps but I would trade that to be a fly on the wall with a tape recorder on my wing to record their lives.
