Darlene, I certainly hope that you take on the reins of Group 12. There is an interesting conundrum that with Samuel Pennington. The story is that he was a "bound boy" who probably came from England. The DNA research pretty much throws that story out. Something else that is interesting is that Samuel pretty well disappears before 1850. After the death of his wife in 1846, he remarries and goes to TN and starts another family. If we have some misplaced Pennington's in TN - we should definitely check them out. I've run into Group 12 Penningtons quite a bit and have a lot of info on them. Since Ashe Co., NC is one of the major areas for the Micajah group, I've spent a lot of time on the Pennington's who live there.
