Be sure you check with your local Library to see if they have Heritage Quest on line. If so, they may allow those with a library card to use it free at the Library or at home. I do and use it at home. It is great to sit in your own home and read your ancestors names on the US Census and it gives you instructions to print it in sections. I forgot to mention that what you see on Heritage Quest is an image of the original U S Census page and not an index or something that someone has transcribed. The 1880 is not indexed on it but you can get it by browsing and the 1930 is not finished. I found where my Mother did the census in 1930 because I knew the district and I found it by browsing. I guess it is available to anyone who wants to subscribe and pay a fee, but I do not know about that. You probably can find out by going to Google.
