I have some information in my "hard copies" which was copied in the New Albany, IN Public Library, which discusses the connection of Ruth to Andrew Jackson. I believe it is from files of genealogist Elizabeth Payne. Again, it is something I will need to look up. I do have an e-mail reference to a letter from Mrs. Payne to Mrs. Mildred Janney of Des Plaines, IL, dated March 27, 1971 in reference to Levi Pennington and Peggy Cowan: N. Carolinian - Wm. P. Johnson, Mar. 1960. Rowan Co.
