Virginia: Copyrights are very important to respect so if you don't have permission of the Historical Society in Newark to publish the Revolutionary War Diary, then don't publish it on the Internet. You probably can share abstracts from it with other researchers but I would contact the Historical Society in Newark to clarify what their copyright policy is, etc. If you do contact them, you may find they will share it and/or that it has already been published on the Internet and they will give you a link to find the publication. If it has been published in the Pennington Pedigrees, then researchers can purchase a copy of the specific volume and use it for their research. I hope this helps to answer your questions.
