I don't have the ancestry of Myrtle but I felt compelled to make an observation. I am often struck by the number of common names people are researching. I am a Wheeler daughter. My mother's family are Adams and Penix. My father's mother's people are Pennington and Hammons (from Arkansas). My mother's mother's people are Penix and Morris. Her father's family are Adams and Abernathy (from Tennessee). Way back up the Wheeler tree there was a Crim - Layton Wheeler, b. abt 1803 m. Elizabeth Crim on 29 Aug 1825 (just four years before his death) in Oldham Co., Kentucky. And (another) Pennington - Francis Lamb "F.L." Wheeler (Layton's brother), b. 1 Dec 1815 in Kentucky, m. Martha Raten "Patsey" Pennington on 14 Jul 1845. Martha was b. 29 Nov 1826 in Garrard Co., Kentucky. I suppose with fewer population back then it is common enough to run into the same names, but it is still something of a shock to find others looking for the same names.
