At the risk of boring you all with too much DNA information I thought I would post just this one page article on a major breakthrough determined by DNA. If you are a Scot you can now find out if you are a descendant of the Viking Somerled or the Gaelic line of the MacDonalds and their related clans. Somerled had an R1a haplogroup (not R1b) like most Penningtons. It is a very different Y-Chromosome found in Scandinavia and when it is found in the UK especially in a Scottish person it is diagnostic of Viking heritage.
