Please bear with me as I get easily dumbfounded. I have Royal Ryley Pennington born abt 1797 in VA. He married Elizabeth (Betsey) Kerns who was born about 1800 in KY. Their marriage date is Nov. 20, 1817 in Adair county KY. Betsey died around 1834. Royal again married in 1837 to Christina Rimmel in Clay co. MO. He died on Sept. 3, 1855 in Buchanan co. MO. I think I have traced to group 4 but would be interested in what you think. Thanks again for your time. Deb J. Nell, I found the following information in the Group 4 file and it seems that this Royal Pennington could be the son of Robert Pennington, son of Ephriam (Progenitor). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 Royal Pennington. Born abt 1797 in Albemarie Co., VA. Royal died in Buchanan Co., MO on 3 Sep 1855, he was 58. On 20 Nov 1817 when Royal was 20, he married Elizabeth "Betsy" Kerns, in Adair Co., KY. 2 Robert Pennington. Born abt 1763 in NC. 3 Ephriam *Pennington.
