It is with pleasure for me to announce the appointment of the new Group Leader for Group 30, Marye E. Steckley. Marye, a member of Group 30, has been a PRA member since 2005. Marye comes highly recommended for the job from the past Group 30 Leader and PRA President, Jim Pennington. She has extensive knowledge of the Pennington family members of Group 30 and is currently working closely with family members to get an accurate detailed family history. She will soon be creating a new Group 30 website in the next coming weeks. I know you all join me in wishing Marye the best in her new assignment and that she can count on all of us to help. We owe a great big "thank you" to Jim Pennington for being the Group Leader for Group 30 these past few months. He really helped to get the research moving for Group 30 and he has let Marye know that she can count on him for any help with Group 30. While I'm usually sad to see a Group Leader resign, in this case it's a good thing. Jim will remain as the Group Leader for Group 31 so now he can spend more of his energy on Group 31 and the President's job.
