    2. Marie, Obviously there are 2 Joanne Pennington's on this list. I am group leader for Group 29 and I spell my name differently. I have no new information to share at this time. My mother had a stroke last year and I have been her caretaker since and haven't had much time to spend on genealogy. I will surely contact you if and when I am able to share anything of any importance. Joanne ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

    3. Joanne, I thought this was another but I decided to try. Sorry to hear of you mother's illness. I know how time that can be. I am so disappointed with PRA as I have not been able to get my line added into the Grp 29 info of Thomas. It only mentions Walter Pennington and they seem to have ignored ALL the info we sent--even on down to MY family. I know that they received it because Yvone Roach sent me a note about the quantity and the number of generations. There does not seem to be any interest in getting info added. We probably will not continue in it as Ilene is not able to help me any more and has no interest. Has John Bruno given up research, also. Regards to your family. 3. Dear Marie, I caught your email message on the PRA email list and wanted to let you know that I am willing to help you with your problems, if I can. I was concerned with your comment of being disappointed with the PRA and I would like to resolve some of your issues. I serve as the Asst. Research Director of the Family Groups, as well as Group Leader of 6 and Membership Chair for the PRA. Regarding Joanne Pennington, group leader of 29, she is one of those PRA volunteers who has suffered some personal setbacks and has had to spend more time on them than with the PRA tasks. Perhaps you and Joanne can get together on research in the future or I can help you with getting your information updated to the myfamily .com all members website. I wish we had a "helper" for each Group Leader who could step it and help when personal problems prevent the Group Leader from doing their job but we rarely find such volunteers. We've asked before for such volunteers but we've not had much success. Regarding Ayvonne Roach, she was the Research Director for a few years prior to John French. She and a couple of other PRA Members developed the idea of collecting family data/ged com files from Pennington researchers (not just PRA Members). I think she did have some material sent to her and when she became the PRA President, John French became the Research Director and he carried on with the project and did all the data entry into the master database. My understanding was that Ayvonne gave all the material she had collected to John French. Some of the books and family group reports that were in John's material when they were sent to Gene, were from Ayvonne and some are for sale as publications. Perhaps we can help you get your lineage information posted to the group 29 family files on myfamily website. As a member of PRA, you also have access to this site and you have the ability to upload this information to the myfamily. com website but we can also help get this updated for you. I hope this may answer or help some of your current concerns. It saddens me to know that a PRA member is not satisfied or unhappy with the PRA organization. Please let me know if I can help in anyway.
