Paul, thanks for posting this. I have found in Marvin Jones' "Ephraim Pennington" an Alonzo Pierce Pennington born 8 Nov 1858, son of Thomas Jefferson and Mary Jane Smithers Pennington. (p. 21, 45) Alonzo was born in McDonough Co., IL. That is not the Alonzo Charles Pennington we are searching for right now. In a message dated 6/1/2007 4:43:41 P.M.
