    2. Dear Mary Leigh, One can be part of a PRA group by being able to identify your line as descended from the Progenitor, or oldest ancestor, that has a group in PRA. If you can get back far enough but do not connect with an already established PRA group, then you can request of PRA that a new group be established. There is a process for this that I do not know. I am not a member for several years now. I'd like to point out tho, that one does not have to be connected to an established PRA group to do genealogy work on your lines, or to contact, communicate, and share with other Pennington researchers, some members of PRA and some not members. The PRA list is one good tool and the Blog should prove to be another helpful tool. There is another list for Pennington researchers and that is Pennington-L@rootsweb.com You join this list the same way you join PRA's list. Many folks are on one list and many on the other while a third bunch of folks, like me, are on both lists. This is because there is valuable information shared and theories discussed on both lists. One last tool I'll mention, is Ancestry.com. It is expensive tho I have all that they currently offer and I feel it has been worth it. When I get time, I'll dig around some on your Pennington's. Good luck in your research! Barb T
