    1. [PRA] Adrian Leon Pennington
    2. Dear Ron, I see why you are having trouble finding info on your birth father, Adrian Leon Pennington. There were a lot of Leon Pennington's. However, there was an Adrian Pennington of the right age on the 1930 Census of Tulsa, OK. This is just a possibility, not proven. The father was Richard W. Pennington who was 42 and worked in a Shoe Repair Shop. His wife was Alta M. Pennington, but she was not his first wife. She was 35. Richard was born in Alabama and his wife in Oklahoma. All the children were born in OK. It is impossible to say if she was the mother of any of the children without more evidence. They lived on W. 40th St. in Tulsa. In 1910, in McIntosh, OK, there is a Cholly (Charley?) Pennington and family and his bro, Richard, is living with them. Both men were born in Alabama. It says Richard is 26 so this is slightly off, but still does not eliminate this Richard. Doesn't prove it, either. Again, let me know what you are trying to find out about your father. Maybe I, or some others, can make suggestions as to how you might find what you are looking for. I enjoy doing this and hope it gives you some clues and possibilities. Barb T

    2. Barb, Every thing is right except my grandfather was Willis Spencer Pennington, and his brothers were Floyd,Bob,Jasper & Sisters Frances & Dovie. Willis was a Saddle Maker and shoe Salesman on the road. He & Grandmother Alta Mae (Woody) Pennington Had a Wild fire relationship and were divorced & remarried several times. I have a Photo of them when dad was a little boy. She Looks full-blooded Indian, but can't get documentation. Family said not Indian Black Dutch. I know that was a cover for Indian so you could get rights plus didn't want anyone to know about background. I am a late blooming artist and I know my dad was also a self taught artist. The Tulsa Times ran a story with a photo which I now have a copy of Him doing a Self portrait with me standing and looking down on him when he was in prison. He was compared to the German artist Durer. I am sure you have the right dad for me.
