    3. Hello all, Last week here in Sacramento, CA we received our Pedigree disk of Vol 39 #2. We have had time to peruse most of the articles. It is a great edition. I am particularly struck by the inclusion of all of the Board meeting material, report and papers. I know we all read first the genealogy articles, but I urge you to read the reports of the Board. It will give you a very good understanding of how active and dedicated our Board is in keeping this association afloat. I especially point out to you the last paragraph of the report by Rev Dr Jasper Green Pennington's. It reminds us to seek out Pennington materials in libraries, historical societies, antique shops, etc--making notes of location and brief descriptions of them and sending these notes to Jasper or Gene Pennington to aid in further research. My local genealogy society frequently reminds us to be sure to tell our heirs what we want done with our research papers. As the family gathers for Thanksgiving and other holidays between now and the first of the year, let your family know how valuable these records are. Seek out someone in the next generations who are interested in the family. Cultivate them and perhaps they would be willing to receive your records. You have spent mountains of time and a lot of money to gather this information, it would be a shame to have someone who cleans out your office (or the attic) and throw them away. Remember to send copies of your material to the Pennington Archives at Earlham College. Have a grand Thanksgiving. Barbara W. Pennington, Group 4 bpen1929@sbcglobal.net
