    1. [PRA] PRA BLOG

    3. I was talking today with Barbara Pennington, Past President of the PRA, about communications with our Members and other interested Pennington researchers. Before long, we found our talk brought us to the PRA blog that I started a few months ago. It occurred to me that many of you (subscribers to the PRA Mail List) may not know about the PRA blog and how it can be used to communicate with each other in a much different way than on this mail list. My intent in starting the blog was to use it to post information, solicit comments, ideas and suggestions and to share your ideas and pictures with others interested in researching the Pennington name. Blogs are interactive and allow both the creator of the blog and visitors to post comments and material so everybody can share them. Blogs are replacing the "ezines" (electronic newsletters sent via e-mail) and have many advantages. The new PRA blog has an RSS feed that you can use with any RSS Reader or if you have Google, Yahoo or MSN set as your home page in your web browser, you can place the RSS feed directly on your web browser's home page to keep up to date with postings on the blog. The PRA Blog can be found at --> http://praresearch.blogspot.com. When you visit the new blog, feel free to leave a comment. 3. Comment: Every time I go to the blog the gray box with red X comes up and says my computer has performed an illegal function and closes me down. Question: How does one know what research group she is in and how does she get with that group? My ancestor of interest (for a friend's husband's family) is John and Hannah Pennington of Harford Co., MD 1800s through their son Franklin who married Eliza Arthur. Am trying to find Hannah's surname and parents of both John & Hannah. Mary Leigh Thank you.
