She was born in Sulligent to the late John Allen and Birtie Lee Pennington. She was the widow of Thomas W. Jones. She was a member of the Homewood Church of Christ in Birmingham. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Christian Chapel Church of Christ in the Hightogy community with Bro. Jessie Phillips officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Norwood Funeral Home of Sulligent is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Florine of Kingsland, La.; two sons, Gary Jones of Birmingham, Ala., and Greg Jones of Helena, Ala.; two sisters, Mary Sue Prittchet of Guin, Ala., and Martha Silver of Mobile, Ala.; five grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Dora Pennington of Mississippi and Christine Pennington of Birmingham; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, J.B. Pennington and James Pennington.
