    1. Re: [PRA] PENNINGTON WWII MILITARY SERVICE

    3. What a wonderful idea ! Can we also do an article or report on the Pennington ladies who were called "Rosie's" I believe during WW II ? The ladies who helped build the bombers and other supply planes/equipment while the men were off serving in the war. There were 3 of these ladies sitting in my DAR meeting this week (oddly, one is related to a NJ Pennington - she doesn't know her group #) and we got on this subject so I find it odd that Gene now brings up honoring those who served since they are related subjects. The group 6 "photo album" did include one WW II serviceman in the newest CD issue. Father of Wanda Gail Pennington-Parker and his name was Clyde Wayne Pennington. Are there anymore that cousins can submit? I might be able to pull a few more WW II service photo's out of my hat but not many. This sort of goes against the future article that Peggy Pennington (Group Leader 2 - 24) and I have been talking about putting together "Bad Boy Pennington's" which will show penitentary mug shots and rap sheets. I guess it could be a Heroes vs. Thug's, kind of thing. (just teasing, of course) ;o) Again, great idea !
