I just received a call from a descendant of Corbin Lane Pennington's son, Scott with some corrections. These corrections are from the Pennington Pedigrees Vol 38 No 1. The initial correction is for page 81 on Scott's son, "Mannie M. Pennington" who was the father of the gentleman that called (I'll send details later). Apparently, to the son's recollection his father was never known as Mannie (probably a childhood nickname off of census). The correct name was Raymond Manuel Pennington (R. M.) and he was born Dec 6 1900 (not June 6, 1900) in Woodson, Texas. He died Mar 13 1983 in Dallas, Texas. His spouse was Thelma Grace Brown. Apparently the wife of Scott Pennington, Theodocia Ernestine Allison, was called Docie. Can someone let me know what group Corbin Lane Pennington belongs to so I can communicate better with this particular query? In my own database, I have him as the son of Corban Pennington (abt 1804); grandson of Asa Pennington (abt 1776). All of this family was in Texas very early.
