She was born Sept. 14, 1920, in Yalobusha County to the late Walter Albert Pennington and the late Ollie Long Pennington. She was a retired drug clerk and homemaker, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Water Valley. Private committal services were Thursday, Dec. 1, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley. Dr. Bob Kenley officiated. Seven Oaks Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Vahrenkamp of McGregor, Texas, and Mary Alice Kenley of Birmingham, Ala.; one son, Bill Knight of Fisherville, Tenn.
