    3. Mike: I did a quick search of our master database and found the following. Edward Pennington, unknown birth date or location, d. abt. 1812, SC, sp. Ann Elizabeth, b. abt. 1773, unknown location, d. 22 Sep 1832, unknown location. There is only one child listed for them. He is Charles B. Pennington, b. abt. 1806, d. 10 Mar 1838, SC. There are no parents listed for either Edward Pennington or Ann Elizabeth. There are no sources listed for any of their information. Sorry I can't be of more help. 1. [PRA] PRA Family Group 25-What to Do?
    2. Gene Pennington
    3. Here's a question for us to consider. Is William Pennington, b. 1750, Group 25 progenitor the same as William Pennington, b. 1755, progenitor of Group 26? Birth years are close as are places of birth. The PRA's Family Group 25 has been lying dormant for a number of years. We haven't been able to find anyone who has any information beyond what appears on our website. It says, "Family Group 25 - William, 1750, Anne Arundel Co., MD. This Family Group description is being developed. Contact Gene Pennington if you have any information on this Family Group". I've checked several times trying to find a history of this Group but without much success. Even searching my predecessor's records hasn't turned up a single clue as to the history behind this Group. Not even when it was started and the research behind the progenitor, William Pennington, b. 1750, Anne Arundel Co., MD. Question: What do you think? Do you have any research to share that will help us learn more about William Pennington, b. 1750, Anne Arundel Co., MD? We have some excellent research done by the former Group Leader of Group 26, Ric Blake, who passed away in September 2011. There are some hints in his research that may point to an answer to our question but so far they've eluded me. 2. Rose Yarbrough
    3. 5-15-2017, Monday Hi Gene, I understand the importance of the Iowa Pennington Cemetery and I'm sure it is another example of this "westward" migration. I wanted to let you or to reiterate that The Locust Creek Cemetery located in Washington CO, IL is where Naomi Pennington Power(s) is buried next to her son, Nathaniel Pennington Power(s). Nathaniel Pennington Power(s) has now been proven thru DNA that he is the youngest brother to our Holloway Power(s) who remained in Butler Co or Ripley CO, MO. I was happy to speak with Robert Power(s) and we followed his lineage back to Nathaniel Pennington Power(s). We have an 100% match in DNA. I have not been able to follow up on this for some time as I had a very ill husband (AD) and who passed away two years ago. I'm still working on the estate. Just checking in with the Pennington researchers. We find two names that follow both lines. Power(s) and Pennington. They name their children Pennington as a Christian name and Holloway as a Christian Name. And both of these names are also included in children's names as a middle name. They had a good reason, right? That was a good way to ID the ancestry of the Families since this was the female line. Good luck on the learning more about the Iowa Pennington's. Interesting history and "here we are"! Rose (Powers) Somraty Yarbrough where (East meets West in this generation in America! Amazing! PS: Cheers and have a good year. -----Original Message----- From: PRA [mailto:pra-bounces+ryarbrough09=charter.net@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Gene Pennington Sent: Monday, May 15, 2017 10:22 AM To: PRA Mail List Subject: [PRA] Pennington Cemetery located in Sigourney, Keokuk Co., Iowa A fellow genealogy researcher discovered a cemetery in Iowa with named "Pennington Cemetery".
