Hi Donna, I have a couple of Richards and Elijah's. Can you narrow down a time period ? My Family Group 9 Pennington migrated from MD into VA and WV 1600-1750. I can tell you that I don't have any Rowsey's in the tree as yet. Perhaps you are a new branch. Pendleton Cty. is right on the VA border next to Rockingham VA in 1880 where some of our Pennington ancestors traveled through going west. Hampshire Cty. is where most of my recent ancestors stayed and farmed. Lincoln Cty. is on the western border of WV. 1880. I have not worked in Lincoln Cty. yet for kin. If you can narrow the time factor perhaps we can help you further. Let us know. I sent a message out to all of those who hadn't signed up yesterday evening. I had a wonderful response today! So far, I've signed up 25 members this evening. I still have by my count, 95 members who have not signed up. We have 115 signed up thus far! If you are putting it off, I will send a reminder email out in about a month's time. Shirley and Pat, I would be happy to send a copy to the Pedigree Editor and I'll be able to do that when I receive a copy of the Pennington Pedigree, since then I'll have the editor's address. It would be nice to know what I'm doing and it's been hard not having the paperwork to help me know more about my group of Pennington cousins. I would love to have the address list and hopefully the Pennington Pedigree, which I thought was a part of the Pennington Research Group's original admission, when I joined. I'll be happy to copy and send the Bible record to the editor if someone would send me their name and address. I thank you for your help. Thanks for your input. Cousin Ruth

Hello all, Let me give you a little history on that Bible Record. It was found by a friend of Bee Holmes many years ago. She had gotten John Barton's pension (Elizabeth Pennington's husband), and within the pension was a copy of the bible record. For many years, people had only seen the first page and not the second page. The Barton pension file and the Bible record has been on my website for several years. If you would like a digital copy of the record - go to the PRA Group 7 website at http://carmenj.my100megs.com/PenningtonPage/PRAGroup7.htm and you can get a copy. All you have to do is click on the thumbnail of the picture and it will open the image up in a larger screen. There are several land records on the website under Pennington Documents that have original signatures by Micajah Pennington and Benajah Pennington. There are lots of other records. If you haven't had a chance to look at documents page - you might want to take a look. The Bible record is on the front page in the middle.
