    3. At present I have over 57,00 people linked in my computer family history programme and 19,500 marriages.I am still using old PAF 2.31.Unfortunately the "notes file" fills up at 65,350 or so entries. This stops me now from entering any more notes or sources. I have tried a couple of the modern windows based programmes and find them to be too slow and inefficient in data entry, especially the most needed screen for "Add Individuals"...the absurd use of a mouse would takes the hands from the keyboard constantly and so slow data entry no end.I am not interested in ANY of those. Does anyone out there know a programme I can use which is all or nearly all keystroke orientated and preferably does not use "window boxes" for data entry. (I don't only think OUT of the box....I think NO BOXES at all) Perhaps a "palm pilot" programme would adapt to my use on a normal laptop? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Roger Scott Lewis. _________________________________________________________________ Share More On Messenger with a Windows Live Space http://spaces.live.com/?mkt=en-ca

    3. Hi Roger, You may wish to try a newer version of PAF. PAF 5.2.18 is available for a free download at www.familysearch.org I believe you can use it without a mouse, just using the keyboard, if you choose. You can also transfer your data from your older PAF program to the new one by way of a gedcom.
