Thanks Hilary, it was interesting. My BEAVEN family oral tradition claims links to the Morgan's of Tredegar but I think they are confused. That is the most detail I have been able to find on the web I think so far. "The Cambrian 18 Feb 1809 At Brecon, aged 78, Hugh BOLD, Esq. At Tyn-y-cwn, Samuel BEAVAN, Esq. upwards of 60 years a Magistrate for the county of Radnor." Hugh Bold was a descendent of the Winter/Wynter family of Brecon, members of which held high office under the Duke of Buckingham and under the Monarchs following the union of Wales with England.
