A few years ago I found a book written by a man that immigrated to Western Canada- He was originally from the "parish of Llanbardarn," Which he describes in the book as being near the town of "St. Arthur." His obituary says he was from Radnorshire. And the book states he was from the Welsh Borders. The stories of Wales he tells in the book start just before the wales "revival" which I take to mean a Baptist revival. The book was written in 1926. First question- "when was the welsh revival?" I think the parish he refers to is just south of Cregrina- about a mile or so- but apparently there are several areas in and out of Radnorshire with the word "Llanbardarn" in them. But I am unable to find a town named "St. Arthur" which should be nearby. He also speaks of the "Church of St. Elvel" being nearby as was "Ebenezer Baptist Chapel"- both of which should be in Llanbardarn. Again, no luck. Second Question- Where exactly is the " Llanbardarn" that he is referring to and Third Question- where is town of St. Arthur? I can't find it on an old map (1630) or in a new atlas. thanks in advance for help. Regards, Doug
