If they are from Glasbury then there should I believe be a George Jenkins as the father of Richard c 1776. Richard Jenkins and his wife Anne nee Moss married in 1800 at Bedwelty, Mons and their first child George was born in 1801. Going on the family naming pattern which seems very strong in my lines makes me think that Richard 1776 father was George. I did find one in Newland/Breams Green Gloucestershire who married Sarah Beach and their son Richard Jenkins was born in 1776 (the correct year) I thought I had him then but how to prove it - perhaps it is just a case of elimination. George J in Newland was not born in Gloucestershire - or I should say that there are no records of him being born there and I assume that he would have been born around 1750 1755. I have not managed to find a will for George Jenkins. The Beach family he married into were in trade - woollen merchants etc. which would be good for my Jenkins family. My other problem is that Richard is called 'gentleman' on documents and so it has to be someone 'middle class'. The Beaven's who married into the Jenkins/Marsden family were definately from Breconshire so it made sense that the Jenkins should have come from there as well - maybe not. My thoughts were reinforced by the fact that Richard Jenkins 1776 - 1843's son Richard Jenkins born 1808 Sirhowy went to live in Pen y Maes, Hay, Breconshire on his retirement by 1891. This line is worse than my John Williams (main line) which was bad enough! thank you again Diana ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jill & Mike" <jill@mjhurst.force9.co.uk> To: <powys@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, September 18, 2007 3:53 PM Subject: Re: [POWYS] Selina Beaven Breconshire I have earlier Jenkins in Glasbury ,Diana.
