I'm hoping someone can help with my search for information on my gt gt gt grandparents Jeremiah Brown and Elizabeth Mills. According to the census, Jeremiah was born in Llandinam in either 1807 or 1811 (depending on which census), and Elizabeth was born in Trefeglwys in about 1813. A friend recently visited the Powys Archives but was unable to find Jeremiah Brown's or Elizabeth Mills christenings at Llandinam or Trefeglwys, I wonder if anyone can suggest where else I can look? They were married at Llandinam Parish Church 24 April 1831, both were said to be "of this Parish". According to the Llandinam records they had 3 children christened there & lived at three different addresses Richard -2 Sep 1832 - Draintewion (labourer) Ann - 22 Feb 1835 - Old Barn (labourer) Elizabeth - 11 Mar 1838 - Beti Newydd (farmer) They had moved to Tredegar by 1840 where they had 5 more children. There is another Jeremiah Brown in the Llandinam records who was a farmer at Upper Gwerneirin between 1813 & 1820 - he was born in Moughtre about 1776 & married Elizabeth Ashton of Llandinam on 11 Oct 1803 in Llandinam; he had seven children christened at Llandinam between 1804 and 1820 but I can't link him to my Jeremiah. If anybody has any information on any of these families or on the properties where they lived, I would love to hear from you. Many thanks Hywel
