Hello Richard in Surrey, I noticed that amongst your surnames of interest was a Clee from Knighton. My three times great grandfather, Jonas Smith, married a Catherine Clee in Kington Herefordshire, and they both returned or migrated to Radnorshire with some children, one of whom was my 2 times great grandfather, James Smith born in Kington, but moved around until he settled in Llan Bach Howey in Llanbedr Painscastle. Anyway, Catherine Smith, nee Clee, died 1798 in Colva, and Jonas remarried to my 3 times great grandmother, Eleanor Evans in 1801 in Colva. I always wondered whether either Jonas or Catherine had come from Radnorshire in the first place, as that is where I found them later on. Jonas died in 1823 and his will named all his children, and also stipulated by which wife they were born to. Just thought you would like to know. Regards, Maureen Rhondda
