Hi Mantle Folks, There was a Billy Mantle and his wife living at Newbridge-on-Wye in WW2 days, who served in the RAF recovery team for crashed RAF aircraft, and he was related to the Llanbadarn Fynedd/ Llananno Mantles I am told by Richard Meredith. I was there as a schoolboy and I remember his visits with a special RAF aircraft transporter lorry plus various crashed aircraft parked overnight by our the old school at times.
