Dear List, I wonder if anyone can help me. I can find nothing out about a John Jones Crier of Brecon and Breconshire. I have searched everywhere that I know. He was the bondsman on the marriage licence of John Owens to Frances Jenkins at Y Faenor in 1820. The only Jones links I think I have in my family are the Jones family of Dolfor Hall, Newtown, Kerry, Montg. where William Marsden Jenkins (born 1841 Tredegar son of Richard Jenkins 1808) vicar of Dolfor died on 13th Aug 1869. David Jones of Church house was in attendance at the death. There is a John Jones and family farming at Dolfor Hall in 1861 and 1871. So I know that the Jenkins were linked to the Jones. The Rev. John Jenkins 1770 - 1829 was vicar of Kerry and he married a Miss Jones of Crosswood House. In the 1841 census I also have David Jones 1791 of Dolfor Hall in 1841 being married to a Tryphena c 1791. I believe Tryphena was an Owens. I cannot seem to tie anything up at present and wondered if anyone had the parish records for Kerry/Ceri. with thanks Diana
