    2. From Me
    3. Hello All I would greatly appreciate any help in discovering the parents of Thomas HAVARD b abt. 1804 at Glascwm Radnorshire. Thomas married Margaret LLOYD (b 1803 Huntington Herefordshire) on 9 Apr 1830 at Huntington Near Kington. Their son James HAVARD ( b abt.1833 d 1915 age 78 at Hay) married 1st. Caroline JONES and 2nd. Hannah BEVAN Sep quarter1874 Vol 11b page 203 James & Hannah's son, Thomas James was born 1876 at Hay Breconshire and died 27 Jan 1944 aged 68 East Sheen Cemetery Richmond Surrey. Thomas married Florence Maud LANGSTON 13 Sep 1903. In the 1891 census Thomas is a pupil living at the School for the Indigent Blind in the civil parish of St George The Martyr Southwark. Would anyone know if there is a way to discover if a child was born blind or became blind through illness? Might this be recorded on the birth registration? What childhood illness may cause blindness?
