I am looking for ancestors of William Stephenson Roberts was born at LLANDUDNO, North Wales on 4 Aug 1859, He was the son of William Roberts. William then aged 9 and Thomas his younger brother then aged 7 who were orphaned before they started school , entered Cowley Cottage ( later to become Salesian House) a Catholic School for boys at Cowley near Oxford. 4 or 5 years after attending Cowley William attended a French school at Chester which was apparently 17 miles from Liverpool. He later served an apprenticeship in Civil Engineering at White Haven, said to be a seaport of Cumberland. The brothers sailed from Liverpool on the ‘Lammermoor’ on 10 Mar 1879 and arrived at Melbourne Australia on 10 Jun 1879.. Unfortunately the passenger list of the vessel has not yet been transcribed , nor is there a record of the ship being in Australian waters at the time, or having arrived at Melbourne in Jun 1879. Any help that listers can provide would be greatly appreciated , and if this list is not the one I should post to – would someone please point me in the right direction.
