Hi Rosemary, I can't offer any connection to John and Catherine but I do have Pughs from Llowes and Glasbury in my family tree. The Llowes name that I have are John Pugh (nothing else known!) m. Ann Pugh (must have been related prior to marriage I would think) in 1787 at Glasbury. As far as I am aware he came from Llowes but this is open to verification. There are several Pughs in the graveyard at Llowes - in very nice graves!
