Hi Dennis, The sister was Jane HAMMONDS, she was baptised in 1772 d/o Thomas & Mary (nee DIASS) and married in Berriew 1797. As Francis MILLS was from Bettws Cedewain I assume she went to live there. I haven't checked but I'm travelling down to Powys archives next March and checking Bettws PRs is on my long list of things to do. I haven't found Jane in the census, but I have no evidence of where she lived or when she died, and I'd think that only her death might be in the BMDs, although I haven't actually looked. I use NorthWales BMDs quite a lot - as it gives the sub-district as well as the registration district I've used this to collate with the census details and I managed to pick out the right Jones birth cert first time!
