The Coflein database entry (NPRN: 6100) states: -------------- A chapel was built in 1774. Church formed 1806 & chapel [re]built in that year. Status (2001): chapel in use. -------------- http://www.coflein.gov.uk/pls/portal/coflein.w_details?inumlink=6034672 The chapel is identified by a small black cross [ + ] on the detailed UK Ordnance Survey 'Landranger' 1:50,000-scale maps. You can see the relevant 3-kilometre square section of this map at the Streetmaps website www.streetmap.co.uk/ In the search section near the top of the Streetmaps homepage, select the 'Landranger' option, enter SN893537 into the search field and click the Search button. When the initial map appears, change to the more useful Landranger map format by clicking the area midway between the [+] and [-] zoom buttons at bottom right of the map. You'll see the chapel's location identified by a small orange arrow near the centre of the map. The chapel is in the parish of Llanfihangel Abergwesyn. Many thanks to both John and Alison for their replies. John your grid reference is spot on. I intend to go on Sunday I may meet some of the local people. Lesley
