Hi Jean, The FreeBMD birth index for England and Wales has a Mary Ann Paddock born in the first quarter of 1844 in Oswestry, Denbighshire, Shropshire. It's in volume 18, page 155. I also see an 18 year old Mary Ann Paddock living with her aunt, Eliza Kean, in St. Mary's parish, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England in 1861. Her birthpace is listed as Shrewsbury as well. In the FreeBMD Marriage Index, Mary A. Paddock's marriage is listed as 2nd quarter 1866 - vol. 11b, p.478 That's all I have access to, sorry.
