Hi Shirley Have you tried the IGI? http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=igi/search_IGI.asp&clear_form=true Because of the way LDS tried to deal with the patrionic system of naming, you have to start looking for a Robert born in Llanfillin in or around 1780 - enter batch C090621(Llanfillin), first name Robert date 1780 +/-5 and check the results for a father with surname Hughes . The problem is then proving you have the right one! See for example Robert John born 6.7.1781 to John Hughes and Judith - who is really Robert Hughes.
