I live in the States and well we have access to census records as late as 1930. For some reason I find the UK slow in releasing their census information.......can anyone offer an explanation as to why? ================= Dear Lynn, Rhiannon and Andrew are right to point out the significance of the 100-year closure rule that applies to UK censuses. Under this rule, the 1911 census cannot be released until the first working day of 2012. However, there has been some discussion about releasing details early under the Freedom of Information Act.
