    1. [POWYS] Evans Family - Cregrina
    2. Evans
    3. Looking for information regarding the ancestors of Thomas Evans, b. 1800 Cregrina, Radnorshire, Wales. In 1841 and 1851 he and his family were living in Llanddewi'r Cwm at Dollinwydd Mill. He died 9 June 1856 and is buried with his wife at the cemetery at Llanddewi'r Cwm, the stone being just to the right as one walks towards the main church entrance. The 1851 census states he was b. Cregrina. Does anyone have access to the 1841 census? Looking to see if that census said he was from Cregina too. He is the father of "Llew Bualt"- and his father (Evans) was apparently named Hugh, as was his Grandfather (Evans). His grandfather apparently taught music (or directed the choir) at the old church in Llandrindod at the turn of the century (c 1800). Regards, Doug
