According to the 1841 census, your Thomas Evans was *not* born in the county (Breconshire) in which he was residing in 1841. This is consistent with his being born in Cregrina (RAD). In 1841 and 1851 he and his family were living in Llanddewi'r Cwm at Dollinwydd Mill. The 1851 census states he was b. Cregrina. Does anyone have access to the 1841 census? Looking to see if that census said he was from Cregina too. ================== Dear Doug, The 1841 census forms did not ask for any detailed birthplace information. They merely asked whether an individual was born in the county in which he was residing in 1841. The question only required a YES or NO answer. Kind regards, John
