Hi I am writing my family history and this involves Elan Village, as my grandfather Charles Huntley PYKE worked on the dams before moving to New Zealand in 1911. My father and his sister were born at 89 Elan Village. How many houses were there in total? The information that I am seeking is about the Old Village School. How big was it and how many rooms? Are there any record of the children who attended? Are there any old photos of the school and the houses that were built for the workers? Is there any chance of getting photos of the Village as it is now. I believe that properties and the new school were all built in stone. I who like to show "Before" and "After" photos if I can fine them. Thank you Joy Cole (Nee PYKE) Australia
