    3. Thankyou Vera I will reply off line Denise VERA BROWN <vera.brown1@btopenworld.com> wrote: Denise The Churchstoke Millenium Book records the following which may be of interest and help to you. 'Broadway Mill' The Mill was known as Hurdley Mill as it was in the townshi[p of that name. It was first recorded in 1603/4 when it was said to have been built by Howell ap Richard or Pritchard. As a result of legal action involving Churchstoke Mill, the next owner of Broadway Mill Arthur Powell was ordered by court to demolish his newly acquired possession and in 1628/29 it was described as a ruined mill. However Broadway Mill seems to have been re-constructed at a later date and eventually outlasted the mill at Churchstoke. ...... Richard Jones occupied the mill from 1903 until his death in 1920. Their only son continued as miller and ran an Agricultural Merchants' Business. Mill operations ceased in the late 1950s but Mr. W.R. Jones (Will the Mill) continued the Agricultural Business until his death in 1966 when the business was taken over by his nephew T.W. Pryce until 1985 when trading ceased due to retirement. Mr. Pryce and his family are still in residence at the mill and continue to farm the 30 acres of land. (nb.
