Hi, This is rather a tangential request - I believe my grandmother might have been of Jewish background. I'd be really interested to know if she was - how would one be able to find out (eg. do synagogues keep genealogical records, and if so, how does one get access to these)? She came from the Portsmouth area, but I'm only on this mailing list, and thought someone here might be able to give me some tips. Thanks so much! Camilla
