The family was headed by John GEORGE born circa 1815 in Llananno, and Margaret ?, born circa 1820 in Llangurig, MGY. They had at least eight children: Margaret George 1840 - John George 1843 - Thomas George 1844 - Mary George 1849 - Richard George 1850 - Sarah George 1851 - Elizabeth George 1852 - Jane George 1856-1937 - moved to Llanfihangel Cwmdu, BRE; m. 1880, Crickhowell, BRE, to William George JONES (1854-1934); emigrated to Kansas, USA, in 1884. In 1851, the above GEORGE family's immediate neighbours, farming at Brynrhyg, was another GEORGE family, headed by Thomas GEORGE, also born circa 1815 in Llananno - possibly John's brother. Hello Alison I am not actually researching the George Family, but in the Edwards, I have a Evan Edwards who married Eleanor Lewis born 1810 who was the daughter of John Lewis and Jane George.
