Dear Listers, (Apologies to the list if this has already been mentioned.) An email from fellow lister Dennis Cleaton reminded me of this Wales-Ohio Project at the National Library of Wales and on their website. In the past, we've had much discussion of the Welsh who migrated from Wales (many from the Mynydd Bach area of Cardiganshire but others from elsewhere in Wales) to a specific area in Ohio but this project is much more ambitious and well worth exploring if you have ancestors who went to Ohio or through Ohio to ultimately settle elsewhere in the U.S. Includes 5,000 digital images. "The goal of the Wales-Ohio Project is to digitize a selection of Welsh Americana relating to the state of Ohio held at the National Library of Wales and to make them available to audiences world-wide via this website." http://www.ohio.llgc.org.uk/ Thanks to Dennis for reminding me of the article about this topic in the Dec. 2007 issue of Powys FHS' "Cronicl". Kind regards, Julie Preston juliefpreston@sbcglobal.net
