Hello All I finally received confirmation of the parents of my Thomas James HAVARD's (Or James Thomas) as he is sometimes known) and I would be most grateful for some help or ideas. birth Thomas HAVARD born 5th December 1875 Registered at Hay Co. of Brecon & Hereford address at birth 20 Lion Street father Janes HAVARD labourer, mother Hannah HAVARD formerly BEVAN, mark of mother Hannah Havard 20 Lion St registered 3rd Jan 1876 by William Powell Registrar Marriage Marriage solemnized at the Reg. Office District of Hay\Brecon Hereford NO 185/ 22 Sept 1874 James HAVARD 36 yrs widower labourer Residence Hay father Thomas HAVARD deceased Laboror to Hannah BEVAN aged 23 yrs (spinster??) Cusop father James BEVAN miller married in the Register office Both parties signed by mark in the presence of Wm BATT & Cath PAYNE cannot read registrar's name note -James HAVARDS 1st wife was Caroline JONES I believe that Thomas, father of Thomas James Havard died before sept 22 1874 age 70 and is buried at Cusop. Can anyone kindly help with this? I also believe this to be dad in the 1871 census with Thaomas James's mother & brother. 1871 census LLANGWADDEN MILL LLANIGAN Parish RG10 5593 F123 pg 3 Civil parish: Hay Breconshire Thomas Havard Age: 65 birth year: abt 1806 Head born: Glascwm, Radnorshire Margaret Havard Age: 64 birth year: abt 1807 Wife born: Huntington, Herefordshire Joseph Havard Age: 25 birth year: abt 1846 Son born: Hay, Breconshire, I have almost nothing on the BEVAN family except for census data 1881 census data includes a possible birth location of Gladestry Radnorshire and year or abt 1856.
