David, Having another look at FreeBMD with the 1881 Census entry details pulled up some interesting finds: Births June Qtr. 1862 ROGERS William Evans Rogers Knighton, 11b, p.175 It's puzzling -- perhaps Rees EVANS died long before you thought (see below). There was an Arthur ROGERS registered at Kington, Sept. Qtr. 1872, 6a, p.541 -- seems to fit the 8-yr-old listed in the census. Deaths - All counties - EVANS, Rees ???
