Tom, Tretower (Tretwr in Welsh) is/has been situated in the old county of Breconshire (now part of larger administrative county of Powys). As a parish, it appears to have been formed from part of the parish of Llanfihangel Cwm Du so you should look for early parish records under both parishes.
