Hi Peter, If you look at the archives of the Powys List, you will find that we discussed Cwm and Blaencamlais in January 2007, in answer to a query by Ridge Williams of Canada, who was tracing his ancestry there. There will be quite a bit of info there for you to follow up. If you check the 1841 census for Blaencamlais Fach you will note that a Siscil (Cecilia) Jones is employed at the farm as a female servant. On the date of her marriage on 24 November 1843 she gives her residence address as the farm along with Thomas Jones her to be husband. They were both employed as servants at the farm. They married in Devynnock (spelt this way on the marriage lines) Church and later moved to Merthyr Tydfil. I visited the farm a few years ago and the farm house is still there now occupied by the farmers daughter. A new farmhouse is also there and the farmer said that there were a lot of records in his loft and he would take them to Brecon Library so I would check there to see if there is anything on the barn.
