    3. Hi Tom At that time, I think it was part of one of the Marcher Lordships - as far as I can tell, the county of Breconshire did not come into existence until the Act of Union in 1536. The manor of Tretower is mentioned on the Archives network site at http://www.archivesnetworkwales.info/cgi-bin/anw/fulldesc_nofr?inst_id=1&coll_id=20252&expand= which will give you some history as to who owned it when.
